FloPro
Industrial Design
2022

An innovative new watering can designed for the FloPro brand - a UK based garden equipment company stocked in DIY and garden centres across Europe.

The CanCan is a great case study example of pure Industrial Design, balancing function, aesthetics and manufacturing/shipping efficiencies to create a product that stands out from the rest of the category. One of the driving design considerations was to design a product that could be neatly palletised on a Euro pallet for efficient and cost effective shipping from factory to retailer.

I was brought into the project after the initial concept stage, to develop revised designs and push the project forward in support of the client's in house designer. The project was fast paced on a short development cycle and I followed a process of constant iteration and improvement guided by client feedback. The manufactured product is feature rich with a hose adapter for hands free filling, a flip open rose to facilitate direct pouring of water and a removable swan neck that stacks neatly in the back of the can for ease of storage.
