Sennheiser PTT Device
Industrial Design
2016
I was commissioned to design a new inline Push To Talk device for Sennheiser. The existing device, used by air traffic control to talk to aircraft via headsets, was dated with poorly executed ergonomics.
The new design clips onto the user's clothes with a magnetic fastener, and has a comfortable ergonomic form with appropriate and elevated aesthetics.
I designed the new device enclosure from concept through to manufacture drawings and factory liaison. The device has been in mass production since 2017 and is moulded and assembled in the UK.
